We totally get that most people think of lawyers as arrogant, dull and over expensive. So it has become our mission to prove that we're a horse of a different colour!
At Abbotts & Co Lawyers, we also feel strongly about living well and having fun. Whether it’s a frolic in Forster’s Ocean bath, a cold Toohey Old in a Kempsey pub, or taking in a sunset from atop Coffs’ Mutton-bird Island, we love to engage with all aspects of life on the Mid North Coast of NSW. If you can’t already tell, we love where we live, and we're not going anywhere.
We especially love getting amongst our vibrant and diverse communities. In fact, the loveable locals are our reason for existing. We love to use our legal skills and experience to help shoulder their worries and see them through to happy days.

We don’t believe you should pay extra fees just so we can have fancy offices, long boozy lunches and drive shiny black cars. If you need legal solutions, we will happily come to you in our trusty Subaru, meet for a coffee, or simply have a chat over the phone. We also enjoy helping clients utilise the latest in technology to ensure that those who cannot meet us in person, never miss out on legal support.
We will be working hard every day to deliver the Mid North Coast a legal service that is more accessible, more affordable … and hold the phone … possibly even fun!

The new buzz word in the legal industry is “law done differently.” But a quick look behind the veneer of this overused slogan shows that most firms are still doing things much the same way as when the Olympics sailed into Sydney Harbour.
Perhaps they have finally decided to stop sending “Dear Sir” letters and pulled the life support on the fax machine, but for the most part it’s the same dull stuffiness.
We’re an energetic and friendly team from a new generation, ready to get things moving again. At our very core, we’re a progressive and open-minded law firm that embraces technology and efficient ways of working.
What's the story behind the logo?
In establishing Abbotts & Co Lawyers, we wanted a symbol that was distinctly us!
Our logo profiles the mythical ‘hippocampus’ (the sea horse which pulled Neptune’s chariot), known for their loyalty and determination. Today the name refers to the ‘real’ seahorse, and also a crucial part of our brain associated with learning, emotion, and making connections.
The sea horse blends our country roots with the freshness of the ocean. It’s the perfect representation of life on the Mid North Coast where the fertile plains meet with the rolling pacific.
Our symbol is featured rearing up with energy and vigour, the horses’ mane flicked back signifying movement and progress. At Abbotts & Co Lawyers, we don’t want to just ‘go with the flow,’ rather we seek to push against the tide and find our own way.
The three colours seen within our branding, represent our unique approach to legal practice:
Navy to represent us as a safe harbour for our clients, through the ups and down of life.
Sand to represent our grounded personality and commitment to community.
Light Blue to represent our friendly and progressive style.
